Film Ballarat & Beyond website

The launch of the Film Ballarat & Beyond website in 2005 was the start of big things for the promotion of filming in regional Victoria. The excitement generated from the original site has prompted a campaign to create film based websites for council clusters right across the state.

This campaign saw the exciting expansion of the website to encompass the Victorian regions of Ballarat, Hepburn, Moorabool, Ararat, Pyrenees and Northern Grampians. Well and truly bringing meaning to the ‘Region of Contrasts’ strapline!

Now featuring a nifty locations viewer (enlarge/zoom/scroll) and also direct GoogleMap links for each town, the site further reinforces the ‘film friendly’ attitude of the region’s councils.

Working closely with Film Victoria, the site now provides an expansive Locations Library – offering locations managers an excellent view of the region. The locations library has substantially expanded (where bigger is better!); the website content has been further refined to target the film related visitor.

Basking in the glow of the launch of Charlotte’s Web, the Film Ballarat & Beyond website is something truly ‘terrific’.
